We are proud to be a Church of England school, forming part of Salisbury Diocese. Supported by our Christian Ethos & Christian Values, we aim to provide a loving, enriched environment for children of all faiths and beliefs.
We have strong links with our local churches. We contribute to their services and hold our own special services in Ogbourne St George Church. Father Roger (Rev. Roger Powell) and other church members lead our worships once a fortnight. On other days of the week worship is led by the teaching staff and sometimes by the children themselves. The children play an active part in worship but there is also time for stillness, reflection and prayer. We also hold ‘Wow Worships’. This is a time when parents are invited into school to join with us as we celebrate and give thanks for the children’s achievements.
In addition, we are proud to engage with our local community and church, supporting their charity events, offering our hall for hire, inviting the villagers and parishioners into school as part of our Family Learning Days, and Christmas community Singalong.

Our guiding Bible quote throughout the year is: “I am the light of the world,” Jesus said. “Whoever follows me will have the light of life and will never walk in darkness””. John 8.12
However, in addition we draw upon a range of quotes and teachings to link overtly to our termly values:
- Term 1 – Love: “Let us Love one another, for Love comes from God” John 4.7
- Term 2 – Friendship: “Friends Always Show Their Love” Proverbs 17:17
- Term 3 – Integrity: “To Do What Is Right” Proverbs 21.13
- Term 4 – Respect: “Show Proper Respect to Everyone” Peter 2.17
- Term 5 – Effort: “It is God who is at work in you… for His good pleasure” Philippians 2:13
- Term 6 – Hope: “May the God of Hope fill you with all Joy and Peace” Romans 15.13
As a church school we are periodically inspected by our Diocese. Our most recent Inspection was Nov’19:
